Hi,

From his records his father was John, of Carridin, Linlithgow and he was 19 years and 6 months old when he joined 9th Jan 1877. Born Bowess? can't quite make it out.

Married Margaret 20 March 1883 in Linlithgow - agian writing difficult but surname something like Mubune?? Mulune?/

Junev

Amended: could be 1885!!
