Andrew McNutt d.1934 Millford district, Donegal
« on: Monday 29 August 11 20:54 BST (UK) »
Looking for information on an Andrew McNutt who died age 97 in the 3rd quarter of 1934 in the Millford registration district of Donegal.  (from familysearch.org: Ireland, Civil Registration Indexes, 1845-1958 Vol 2 pg 75)
I think this may be the same as an Andrew McNutt I am researching born Jun 10, 1839 in Dunfanaghy, Donegal to Andrew McNutt & Susan Richardson. I am looking for any descendants of Andrew's or where to look for more information to confirm if this is the Andrew I seek.
Any suggestions gratefully accepted.

You can use the references you mentioned to order a research cert from the GRO, and check the full details. Death certs dont show that much detail, but sometimes the occupation and residence can provide clues to a possible connection, and the informant may be a family member.

Hi
I see 5 siblings for your Andrew, John b.1834, William b,1837, Alexander 1841, Robert 1844 and David 1846 all baptised at Dunfanaghy Presbyterian Church

I think I see the marriage of his father in the same church in 1833 Andrew McNutt = Susan Richardson, Andrews father was a William McNutt, his mother was a Catherine Culbert, Andrew Snr. was born approx 1796, he died in 1884

The Andrew McNutt who died in 1934 is not the same Andrew as the one you are researching  (b. Dunfanaghy 1839), I see this Andrew in the 1901/1911 Census living with his brother and family in Fanad West, Donegal, his brother is called Robert and is aged 86 in the 1911 Census, older than Andrew which dosen't fit the Robert who baptised at Dunfanaghy in 1844, also I can see the marriage of this Robert to Isabella in 1861, Roberts father is a Robert McNutt in this record, this Andrew was baptised Fanad Pres. Ch 1838, father Robert

1911 Census record for Andrew (died 1934)
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Donegal/Fanad_West/Leat_Beg/501571/

There is a Civil death record for Andrew McNutt in 1888, died Burt Parish birth year estimated 1832 but birth year may not be accurate

Regards

Joe
