Fitzpatricks of Drumee, Maghera, Down

Hi. I'm new here. :)I just found this wonderful site
I'm fairly new to searching for my family too


I'm searching for the family of my Great Great Grandfather,
Lawrence Fitzpatrick (Abt 1830 - 1901) & Mary King Fitzpatrick (Abt 1831 - 1929)

They married in 1857 & lived in Drumee, Maghera, Down.

Their 10 children:

Agnes b: 1858
Mary b: 1859
John b: 1861 d: 1929
Joseph b: 1863 d: 1925
James b: 1865
David b: 1867
Francis b: 1870
Mary Ann b: 1872
Michael: 1873 d: 1942
Teresa b: 1875


[Francis (My Grandfather), Joseph & Michael all came to Australia & died there.
James also came to Australia briefly but returned to County Down.]

I'm looking for information on Agnes, Mary, James, David, Mary Ann & Teresa.

Hi,
   Cannot find anything on the names you are looking but Francis was born 29 Dec 1869 and registered in the sub-district of Bryansford, Kilkeel, Co Down. The spelling of the parentss names varies somewhat;
Laurence/Lawrence and King/Cane.

I've found there was a Lawrence Fitzpatrick who married a Mary King.
And a Laurence Fitzpatrick who married a Mary Cane.
Just to confuse me ... lol

Hi Jim,

I think that's one of the other Fitzpatrick families in the area.
The date I have for Mary's birth is 1858, which would make her about 43 in 1901.
And with the mother, Mary's death, her effects were left to 'Mary Fitzpatrick, spinster' (I assume is Mary the daughter).
