Hi Brook

These pictures are brilliant.  I never expected to see any of these photos because as I have said before I have had such a problem tracing John Janes early years and also where he died.  I now know so much more about him.  Now that I know his parents and grandparents I can research further.

Thanks so much for posting your original message and please keep in touch and send any more information you have.

I will keep you posted with anything else I find out.

Probably will be after Christmas before I do much more as I work full time as well.

Regards

Hi Brook

How are you?  I would still love to have the photograph of John Jane and all his brothers and sisters.

I have not done anything since Christmas but was wondering if there were still any relations within Cornwall.  Are you in contact with anyone else?

I look forward to hearing from you or anyone who knows of the Jane family in the Callington/St Ive area.

Hi Brook

I have attached a photograph of Leonard Percival Jane who was John Janes only son, he also had 3 daughters one who died at a few days old.  Leonard went to Canada Copper Mining.  He returned in October 1914 but I am not sure when he went to Canada.  I have been told that he stayed with Florence and her family while in Canada.  After he returned he joined the Army in WW1 and was killed in France on April 28th 1917. He is buried in France in Orchard Dump Cemetary ( could have had a better name).

Hope all is well and hope to hear from you again soon.

Regards

Hi Brook,
I too have an interest in Ann Hawk(e) Keast and William Hawk(e) snr [1st cousin *3 removed]
My grandmother on my fathers side was Bessie Hawk(e) who married my grandfather George Serle in 1909.
Sadly I do not have a photo of George Henry Serle but iI do have one of Bessie.
Would it be ok if I copied the photo's that you have put up on this site?
I'm happy to share the info that I have on my family if you are interested.
Regards, Geoff
