Many thanks for your help.  My mother was born 1917.  I can only think they got married after that!!

Your post Francis Callaghan, Dub. North, vol 2, page 487 could be her as her birth date is
30.11.1891.  Also my mother was Frances and apparently she was registered as Francis and put with the males.  It took lots of visits by her father to get her birth cert. when she needed a passport.

The Bernard Callaghan you refer to could be her brother, as the dates fit.
