Rush family New Cumnock/Ireland

Looking for info or a family connected to Martha Rush b about 1878 Nrw Cumnock. 1901 census has her in Darvel.1911 in Connell Park with her husband Richard Kirkpatrick.

William Rush, Son, Scholar, age 10 years, M. born Ireland,
Jane Rush, Daur, age 8 years, F. born Auchinleck, Ayr,
Agnes Rush, Daur, age 6 years, F. born Auchinleck, Ayr,
Martha Rush, Daur, age 4 years, F. born New Cumnock, Ayr,
John Rush, Son, age 2 years, M. born New Cumnock, Ayr.

The Mothers maiden name is Young, you can get that by daughter Janes birth 1873 on the IGI.


The Three childrens births in Ireland, James, Charlotte, and William, are again on the IGI, in Antrim, again to the same parents.

Hi Liznel

It's a while since your post & perhaps you've found out all you need to know. I believe that Martha had an illegitimate child Georgina b 1901 born in Kilmarnock who was adopted by the Mutch family in Fenwick before she married Richard Maxwell Kirkpatrick & she died in Ochiltree 1949 aged 72 yrs.
I have additional information re her siblings if it is of interest to you.
