Trying to identify church group
« on: Monday 22 August 11 18:42 BST (UK) »
A distant relative has sent me a number of old photographs, one of which is below.

The person who sent me the photographs does not know any of the people shown. However, it has been suggested that this particular group may be some "church elders"; forgive me if this is somewhat of an inaccurate description!

My paternal family has roots in Trehafod and Church Village, so the photo may have been taken in these places. Possible surnames may be Jones or Vaughan.

Can anyone offer any advice on how I might identify the people shown?

Jones - Pontypridd area
Vaughan - Glamorgan
Rivolta - Surrey, London, Kent
Wills - Surrey, London, Kent
Harris - London

Hi there,
It looks like Salem Chapel in Church Village but I am sure there are other chapels that look similar in the area
Do contact the  Pontypridd and Llantrisant  Observer and place the photograph in the letters section. This is a weekly newspaper covering the areas you mention.
The paper is based in Pontypridd.Market Street,  01443 665161.
Happy searching
