Parents of Jane Margaret Beadle were George Beadle, a Thames waterman, and Sarah Dixon. My gr gr grandmother was Jane's sister, Sarah, who married William Davies in 1894. Sarah Dixon died in 1806 and George married again in 1812. As well as Sarah siblings include George and Thomas, as well as those born to George's 2nd wife (also Sarah)

My 3rd great-grandparents were Jane Margaret Beadle and William Nightingale.  One of their daughters, Jane Sarah Nightingale (b1818,aka Jennie), married William Hughes. Their daughter, Maria Agnes Hughes, married Henry Rumley and they emmigrated to the USA about 1873.   This is my line.

I have a Beadle family from nearby and contemporary.

John Beadle m. Elizabeth Webb 12 May 1768, Milton by Gravesend, Kent
Children all born Milton by Gravesend

Mary Ann b1781 d1851
Sophia b1784
Henry b1786

There are some MIs at http://www.kentarchaeology.org.uk which suggest that the family may have ended up in Erith but nothing definite. John Sr. is my 4th gt grandfather.

Sadly I don't have access to Erith records either.

I see most of the Beadles mentioned in my own tree except the John Beadle and Elizabeth Webb line.

Actually I have two entries into the Beadles.  The first was mentioned before:  Jane Margaret Beadle (1796-1851) married William Nightingale (1792-1856).  Their daughter, Jane Sarah Nightingale (1818-1893) married William Hughes (1788-1855).

William Hughes had his own connection to the Beadles:  His first wife was Amelia Beadle (1790-1842) who  was the daughter of James Beadle (1762-1804) and Jane Spright.

Jane Margaret and Amelia were cousins.
