« on: Wednesday 04 May 05 07:53 BST (UK) »
Hello Dear Friends,

Could someone please lookup for me on the 1841 census of Attleborough, Norfolk for a "Sarah Pease".

She would of been about 10 years old. Trying to find out who her parents were.

I would be very grateful for any help.

Kind Regards

Wendy

Hi Wendy;
Was Sarah born Attleborough?, I am to go to Attleborough library soon, and can make a search, if she was born there?
I also notice from one of your other requests, that you mention a Elizabeth Brooks, have you any more on her please.

Hi Tony,

Thankyou for getting in touch with me.

Sarah Pease was born about 1831 in Attleborough. According to the New Buchenham 1851 census she was a house-keeper for Edward Norris Clowes. I do not know who her parents were
and I do not have any dates.

Unfortunately the only information that I have on Elizabeth Brooks is that she married William Pease 23 Jan 1804 in Great and Little Ellingham.
I only have  two of their children who were Robert Pease Chr 09 June 1811 and Charles Pease Chr 10 April 1814 who I believe were both christened in Great and Little Ellingham.

If you have the time I also have another inquiry that you might be able to help me with. There was a Robert Pease who married a Mary Crooks (do not know where or when) who had a son Robert Pease born 08 June 1817 at New Buckenham. He could also be at Attleborough but I am unsure.

All the Pease's that you might find in Attleborough are of my Line.

I look forward in hearing back from you.

Kind Regards

Wendy

Hi Wendy;
I may well be visiting tomorrow(Thursday), and will make a search, unfortunally its easyer to search by date rather than name, But will try my best.
I need to visit to look for some more of my family, if i do go tomorrow i will let you know what i find.

I don't think that your Elizabeth Brooks is connected as it is far to early for my line.

If you wish to email me. use my website link connection to the left, and use the email address on my web site.

Wendy;
I made a visit today, but unfortunaly the book  I wanted was not there, and no one seems to know its where abouts.
On my return here, i have noticed that you also have an interest in the Besthorpe area and some later dates, these could have been found if i had known before my visit.
I did see some PEACE names listed at Besthorpe , but because i thought your interest was just Attleborough, i did not make any notes.

If you wish to place a list together of your requests in the Attleborough and Besthorpe areas, i will have a look on my next visit.yopu can email me the list.

Hi Tony,

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back to you, but my Internet Server has been down for a couple of days and this is the first time I was able to get back on the computer.

I will be visiting my mum tonight as I am helping her put our family tree together so I will be able give you a list tomorrow about  our request about the Pease's in Attleborough and Besthorpe. There are also Pease's in Wymondham and New & old Buckenham.

So until tomorrow take care

Wendy

Hi Tony,

Here is a list of requests that I have put together, if there are to many just pick some out.

1. I am looking for a marriage between 1855 and 1861 of Samuel Pease and Mary Ann (nee ??). I would like to know her maiden name. I believed the marriage took place in Attleborough.

2. There is a death of a Mary Ann Pease in 1884 age 50, (I do not know the date). I would like to know if she was Samuel Pease's wife. Samuel was born in Attleborough in 1836. He and his wife lived at Turnpike Cottage, Wymondham.

3. Samuel remarried in 1892 in Forehoe, to Rosanna Marshall. How hard is it to get the actual date?

4. Edward Pease (age 23) married Rachael Gowns 03/Nov/1780 in Attleborough. Would like to know if they had children about 1781/1782.
Also would like to have her death.

5. Edward Pease married 29/Dec/1795 in Besthorpe to Elizabeth Napp. would like to know if they have any children, as Edward died 21 March 1797.

6. Robert Pease was christened about 1798 in Besthorpe and married Mary Crooks (don not when or where). They had a son Robert born 08/June/1817 at New Buckenham Wesleyan Methodist

7. Robert Pease married Maria Hock 28 Jan 1829 in the Parish Church in Besthorpe. If possible I would like to know who Robert's parents were and if Robert and Maria had any children.

I don't know if you are able to get hold of any Church Records to get information from. I hope the list is alright, if not please tell me.

Would you be able to tell me if there is a Wesleyan Church in Attleborough and what the name of it is?

Thankyou for all your help Tony, I look forward in hearing from you.

Regards

Wendy

I will make another visit, some time next week.

The Attleborough Wesleyan Chapel stood in Station Rd, but was demolished many yrs ago.

Hi Tony,

Do you know what ever happened to the grave stones from the Wesleyan church cemetery in Attleborough?
