Looking for the birth of John VINCENT.... COMPLETED THANK YOU
« on: Friday 19 August 11 20:47 BST (UK) »
My 3 x gt grandfather, John VINCENT, was born about 1805 according to his age given on all censuses.
He also stated on every census that he was born in Bury St. Edmunds, but, try as I might, I cannot find him.
I have found a John VINCENT b.1789 d1800 in Bury St. Eds., to William VINCENT and Mary HOWE.
I feel these are  probably my John's parents, but can find no proof of this, although I have also found another 4 children to William and Mary...William b.1795, Thomas b.1797, Henry b.1808 and Robert b. 1815.
Any help would be gratefully received. If it's anything like the successes I have had on other threads I have high hopes. :D
Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi cynn,

Great to see you have completed this search :) My ancestor was Henry b1808 who was John's brother; one of William b1770 and Mary's b1773 children.

I'm currently on the search for Williams b1770 grandfather, who is currently unknown.

I know William b1770 father is William b1743.

I am wondering if you have any leads on this connection?

regards,
             andrew

Hi Andrew,
I don't have a grandfather for William but I do have details for his father William b1743 such as marrriage and death and their children.  Let me know if you need these and I'll gladly pass it on.

Hi Andrew,

Any luck yet?  I've found nothing and have been working on Mary Howe.  I have a couple of possibles but no proof yet.  How about you?
