James Baxter

trying to research a relatives family from Antrim, Northern Ireland.

James Baxter was born in Antrim supposedly on December 25th 1864. His parents were Robert Baxter and his mother Maria Baxter nee Mc Kinstry.

James migrated to New Zealand and married there.

I sent away for James  Baxters birth certificate, but they have no record of him. The twist in the tail is that there is twin brothers who were also supposed to have been born in 1864 also.

Can anyone solve the mystery of three brothers all born the same year and same day?

Hi,
James was probably born before 1864 when birth registration started in Ireland. The parents married on 30 Nov 1855 in Larne Nonsubscribing Presbyterian Church, Co. Antrim. The fathers' names were James Baxter and Hugh McKinstry The IGI site give the twins Joseph and Robert Hugh born on 29 Mar 1864 and a daughter Maria born 4 Jun 1865. The childrens' births were registered in the village of Glenarm which is north of Larne
