Balgay Cemetery

I tried the Dundee Council email address shown on their web page for info re. burials Balgay Cemetery, my email was returned, the same email address is shown on Tayroots.

Can anyone give me the email address in current use for info. re. request for  burial section etc.

Thank you for your reply, I'll give it a try.   I did email Archives at Dundee City and received an immediate reply informing me my email had been forwarded to the Parks Dept. as they held the records for grave sites at Balgay, that was about a month ago - never received any further communication.

Guess I need a trip to Scotland.

The address you might need is 'Leisure and Communities Dept, Central Library, Wellgate Centre, Dundee DD1 1DB
 their e-mail address is burials[at]dundeecity.gov.uk
I have had really good results from them, they do take up to a month to get back to you, but maybe if you try that e-mail it may help.

Update on last post,
 I tried that e-mail address and like you, my e-mail was returned too but this might be the one  parks.burials[at]dundeecity.gov.uk. so far so good, hasn't been returned as yet.
I will let you know the outcome.

Thank you for the revised email address, I guess the word missing is parks.

I also note it takes time to receive a reply, maybe did not wait long enough (too impatient ) will wait a bit longer to see if I hear re. my original request.     Then try the email you gave me.

The address

parks.burials[at]dundeecity.gov.uk

is the correct one however it does take at least 5 days to reply.  You can get one basic search, (it provides who's in grave/location) for free as long as it takes less than 1/2 hr. 

For more searches/info or if it takes longer to trace the info they charge £26.50 per hr.

Obviously it's best to have as much detail as possible before you contact them to keep the price down!!
