St Peters Leeds 1862 Marriage *COMPLETED*
« on: Tuesday 16 August 11 19:00 BST (UK) »
Hi all,

I am looking for the details on the marriage of a Robert JACKSON and a Sarah (Ann) JOHNSON in 1862. I think its the Dec quarter at St Peter's Leeds.

These are the only ones I can find with the correct names within 15 years of when I want even though its not quite where I expected them to be.

Many thanks in advance

Shezzy

Thanks dragongirl

I hope he is the one who was born in Linton in Craven and she was born in Manchester according to  later census info.

They are in Pendlebury (Manchester on the 1871 census) and haven't yet found him in the 1881 and only have a possible for her (very elusive). I only found them on 1871 because he was born in Grassington so its easy to spot.

But this is the only trace of a marriage of the two names I can find. Was hoping his father would be John Lawson Jackson as that would mean they were mine.

Just don't want to buy the certificate if its not the right one.

The Robert Jackson who married Sarah Mitchinson was the son of a John Jackson, who was a shoemaker. Robert was 28 and a widower. Robert was also a shoemaker. Married 15 Sep 1862 at Burmantofts, St Stephen.
