Bev is on the ball but - just in case - I wonder if that is an index transcription error?

The Glasbrooks were a prominent Swansea family. Won't affect location of the entry of course.

Thank you for that B and Bernard, the Glass Brooks is correct, this Brooks family are all mariners  and this is the grandson of my g grandfather, unfortunately I am still trying to locate my g grandfather I am lead to believe that he died while on a voyage and is buried in Argentina.  I have narrowed his death date down to between 1890 -1892 hense this WG Brooks (born 1892) is named after his grandfather.

I have the entry now, but there's not much detail - PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send it to you. Do you want me to find out whether there is a stone on the grave at Danygraig, or do you already have a photo?

Bernard, I thought the same as you until I saw the death notice.  ;)

Evening Seaweed, Well I have found my W.G.Brooks, he died of dysentry in Rosario, Argentina on 8th October 1890 age -56, he was sailing on the S.S.Oriente from Liverpool (Ship's No 54992).
The record was in BT 156 Monthly list of deaths of seaman.
Is it possible to obtain a death certificate - if so, where from?
On the monthly list which gave all the above details, under the colmn "source of information" it reads W & E.1 C17, C144/91 - can you please help me on these details.
I have searched for years as to the whereabouts of this g.grandfather now we can finally say where he is buried:)
