Hi Sue
Well this is feeling good to me. Especially seeing as you found the marriage of Thomas and Mary Ann Hawkins. I was interested to see that Thomas's father is recorded as being a Cordwainer. That ties in nicely with Thomas's son William. He was a Cordwainer and so was his first son William Henry. Looks like my Thomas didn't follow in his father's footsteps, instead being a labourer.
So yes, that marriage record is a little gem really. I was holding off following his and Mary Ann's life through the censuses and popping them all in the database till I had a bit more info so now you have provided me with the marriage record, I think I shall get stuck into that. The george Heath baptism could be one of their children, I'll see if he pops up in the censuses.
Yes, there is a railway station in Stafford isn't there. Perhaps there were some dwellings nearby way back then.
Well thank you once again for your time. If you do happen to come across any more information about Sarah's death or anything else to do with this little family, I'd be most grateful. I'll keep delving the online records. Thank you again for the time you have spent looking for information for me.
Would be nice if I could do some research for you. Don't suppose any of your family emigrated to Australia??
Kind Regards
Val
