That Richard Inman also doesn't appear in 1861 or 1871? ???

Are you sure that this is your gt grandfather?

Richard & Martha are in Huddersfield in 1861, with Alice Ann (8) and William Edward (5).

He's with his mother Martha, in 1871.

It's rather complicated. In 1861 Richard Henry Inman is away at school, 1Providence Place. His sister AnnaMaria Inman is staying with 1/2 brother Norcliffe B Spenser at 43 Hampden Place.
By 1871, they are all back home together at Aspley Place

Hi

Which area are they in.

The nearest church to Aspley Place in Huddersfield is Huddersfield St. Paul's.

Hi

That's strange Aspley Place was in-between the bottom Sainsburry entrance and the canal.
I think there was a Providence Place in Aspley just off Colne Road.
