I've just spotted your post because I was searching for Plunket. I was amazed to find my grandfather Felix George Plunket was married to Edith as actually he married Louise Lane in 1903, and had eight children of whom my father was the youngest. They never divorced and he died in 1961. I think somewhere there is a mistake.

Yes, many folk find genealogy a fascinating hobby/mania. Personally, I find the ancestors who arrived here a very interesting and mixed bunch, who survived against the odds, in the 1840s. Today's families are becoming more complex. I would not like to be doing this in a hundred years time, trying to sort out who belonged to who.
