Hi Tara, & thanks for the help. 1901 census link for James & Maria
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Dublin/Drumcondra/Drumcondra/1271880/
.
He wasn't with the family in the 1911 census but I found him in St Patrick's hospital where he died in June 1911. They had 9 children in all according to census records but I've only ever found 8. Vincent was my maternal grandfather. I've never been able to find anything of Maria's parents other than that they were James & Catherine & he was a builder. (Taken from James & Maria's marriage cert).
Any further help would be much appreciated.

From records held by St Patrick's Hospital archives where he died. I've never actually questioned it but I suppose that it could be wrong.

Ah that's a good starting point then so.
Great that they kept some good details.
I haven't found anything other than what you already did.
Sorry

Does anyone know what the word 'Lodge', in the Kinawley parish records means. Is it a townland only I couldn't find it on a list of Cavan or Fermanagh townlands.

Hi.
Lodge usually refers to an Orange Lodge, a Protestant organisation formed about 1793.
