Aaron Symmonds born c1854

Looking this up for someone in USA, Aaron left and married there, he was a coalminer.

Need to see if he was on any census records 1861 & 1871 and potential parents, as they have no idea of parents names!

Think he was from the Walford area of East Dean but may not have been born there

Any info appreciated!

William (50) shoe maker, wife Abigail (43), children Edith (15), Sarah (13), Amos ( 9 ), Aaron ( 8 ) Selina (1).  Living at Rose Hill, Walford, Hereford.

Walford transcriptions are on www.forest-of-dean.net, which is free (you need to register). There is a baptism of Aaron Symmonds on there: 28 July 1861, parents William (shoe maker) & Abigail.

Aaron's siblings: Amos, Selina, Fanny and Abigail Charlotte, were also baptised 28 July 1861

1881 Census, Aaron SIMMONDS, age 29, Born c 1852, East Dean, Glous is a Lodger in Westbury on Severn, Glus. Occupation- a Coal Miner.

Aaron Symmonds (c.1854-1901) was my paternal great grandfather. Aaron's youngest daughter, Daisy Symmonds Ball was my grandmother. After coming to the US, Aaron met and married Elizabeth Tucker who bore him 6 daughters and 2 sons. The Symmonds family settled in the small Bureau County, Illinois hamlet of DePue, where Aaron was indeed a coal miner. Aaron died in 1901 in a bizarre untimely incident involving accidental poisoning. Aaron Symmonds today lies at rest beside Elizabeth in Searle Ridge Cemetery in Bureau County, Illinois, USA. More including photos of the entire Aaron Symmonds family upon request. Please feel free to email (*).
