Middleton Hall
« on: Sunday 07 August 11 15:40 BST (UK) »
Where would I find information on the birth of Francis Powell 1806/9,  on the 1861 census for Swansea he gives his place of birth as Middleton Hall Carmarthen, occupation Gardner, how would I obtain records of his birth, and are there any records of the people who worked at Middleton Hall around the time of his birth,  obviously his mother must have been there at this time, and maybe his father.   Many thanks for your help.

It's in the parish of Llanarthney on the 1841 census, but no baptism of a Francis showing around that time in the IGI batch for the parish C099591. There was a Baptist Church & a Calvinistic Methodist in the parish as well.

Thank you all for your help, I am not very good at this, in reply to Osprey he would not have been on the 1841 census as he was in Swansea at this time, but only gave his birthplace as Carmarthen, it was only on the 1861 census that he gave his birthplace as Middleton Hall.  Would there be any Powells ie. Mother, Father or siblings on the 1841 census for  Llanarthney.  Thank you.
