Annpat.
Have a copy of the marriage certificate - will send PM. Basic details -
Parish Church of St Mary, Swansea, 25 December, 1843
Francis Powell, of full age, Widower, Gardener, 4 Park St, father Richard Powell, Victualler
Jane Lewis, of full age, Spinster, Rutland Place, father William Lewis, Carpenter

Looked for marriage of Thomas Evans/Mary Ann Powell (Francis' daughter by previous marriage). Checked central Swansea churches + Sketty, Llansamlet and St John's juxta Swansea. No success so will need to widen search.

There were 7/8 items in The Cambrian to check - only time to find the following :-

29 Jun 1849 ROBBING A GARDEN  - Thomas Owen, a well known young thief, was charged with robbing Colonel Cameron's garden - Francis Powell in the employ of Colonel Cameron, said he was on the lookout at Danygraig Garden on Wednesday, when he saw the prisoner in the strawberry bed. When he saw Powell he decamped over the hedge. The beds were trampled upon and much injured. The prisoner denied the charge stating he was on the beach fishing from ten o'clock to five in the evening, and could bring witnesses to prove such was the fact. To enable him to do so, the case was adjourned to next morning.

18 Jan 1867 DEATHS - On the 9th inst, at uplands House, of bronchitis and congestion of the lungs, Mrs Jane Powell, the wife of Mr Francis Powell, the gardner, aged 65 years, much esteemed and respected by all who knew her.

3 Oct 1873 DEATHs - On the 24 ult, in his 70th year, Francis Powell, former gardener at Uplands, with James Walter, Esq, J.P
