New computer - photo editing programme?
« on: Sunday 07 August 11 13:04 BST (UK) »
I have just had to buy a new laptop in a bit of a rush.  Now need to do some photo editing again in a rush.  But it does not seem to have a good photo/edit programme!  I personally do not get on the windows set up for photo editing.  Does anyone know of a free, easy to use photo editor, please?

The computer is an HP G7 Laptop

I use a mixture of  Paint.net for simple things - and gimp for other bits

 Hi Abriam,

Click on this link for some good Freebies.

    http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/

They do tend to plague you a little bit with e-mails

for other products. but it's no big deal.

Click on the more info button at the top for Photoplus.

It's a very good programme and has some good tutorials.

Microsoft's ICE - a free panorama stitching program - is worth the download.

I also like Gimp but for just your usual cropping, autofix type stuff I like Irfanview http://www.irfanview.com/. Be sure to download the plugins and it will open and edit just about any kind of image you can think of.

Thank you all.   In the end I found Serif Photo Plus starter pack which did what I wanted it to.  After a very frustrating day!
Thanks again,
