Would it be possible to help fix my GG Uncle's fiancee picture please? I had a try with a simple program but am terrible at it

Lovely portrait. Here's my crack at it. Took the liberty of cropping the photo to get rid of most of tattered edge. Hope that's all right.

wow thankyou, that looks so much better! Yes it was a bit tattered as my GG Uncle carried it around with him in WW1 so no worries to tidying that up
