Hi again....It's not a major problem because the surname FYFE is reasonably uncommon. Assuming Henry and Thelma were in Queensland in 1954 it's only half a dozen years until 1960. Maybe a dozen or so FYFE births to trace in NZ.....(famous last words :-)
Add in the fact that the Births fiche always list the registration area, which can be compared to both the post-1960 births (which list mother and registration area) and the electoral roll areas you've already mentioned (HB, Wgtn etc).
Are Henry and Thelma listed in the NZ electoral rolls in the 1960's or is it only from 1978 onwards.
And do you have the exact electorates for 1978 and 1981. Plus any addresses mentioned. Other FYFE's may be listed at the same addresses post-1981. Easy enough to check at the library.
But this is all just additional stuff. As we said before, your best bet is a newspaper death notice.
