hi wocky the stott family that have is john 1795 wife Susan brearley born 1791 and there children john 1822  thomas 1818 Alice 1821 Benjamin 1826 Robert 1819 and Sarah 1824 all from newbold in rochdale so if any one else is researching the same family i would love to know

John Stott christened 16th august 1795 st chads,Rochdale ...........parents John Stott and Catherine ( record pilot)

6th nov 1791 John Stott to Catherine Grindrod , Rochdale.......only submitted though

Susan Brearley christened 3rd april 1791 ,Rochdale.....parents Robert Brearley and Betty ( record pilot )

3rd sep 1788 Robert Brearley to Betty Whitworth , Rochdale  ( Roberts parents given as Robert Brearley and Mary Beswick )

thank you Allan i didn't know that Roberts wife was whitworth i knew it was Betty but not her surname and i never knew his parents names more family to look at now thanks again

Hiya Wendy....you can`t take those 2 bits of info as definite ....all I was pointing out was that Susan Brearley - IF she was born Rochdale ...this looks like her parents ...the only positive way to find out is to buy the birth certificate ...or ...do you have any siblings of Susan ??...that way , we may be able to connect the siblings to Robert and Betty through Record Pilot

hi Allan Susan's parents were Robert and Betty but i never knew Betty surname i have now found john stott mothers family Cathrine grinrod and her parents are William grinrod and Cathrine chadwick married in 1757
