White's Gazetteer & Directory of Suffolk, 1844 - JENNINGS
« on: Friday 05 August 11 22:43 BST (UK) »
Hello, I am looking for details of any JENNINGS who may have been listed at Horham (Hoxne Hundred) in White's 1844 Directory.  There were three JENNINGS families enumerated there on the 1841 census.  They were Farmers and/or Maltsters.  I already have their details from the 1855 Directory.  Thank you,

Johnbritanico

Hello there and welcome to Rootschat, you will see under the Resources board that I have an 1855 and an 1844 White's  :D

In 1844

Under Farmers in Horham

James Jennings
Wm (William) Jennings

They do not have an asterisk next to their names, so they were probably not land owners but renting the farm/s.

No other Jennings noted.

Pat ...

Every time I find an ancestor,
I have to find two more!

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?

Hello Pat,

Thank you for the welcome, and for the information regarding my Jennings ancestors.  It's exactly what I was hoping for!

Best wishes,
