Hi Gravesave,

Your William Lilly is my great-great-great grandfather. Afraid I have little to add as I don't have a record of his wife in my info. I do have some more detail on son Robert and his wife -- Dorothy Sommerville -- should you need it.

I have some legal papers of Dorothy's filed after Robert was killed that I found in the archives.  I have a pic of Alexander's house in Toronto and his grave if you are interested. And I just learned they had a son who died as a child when I visited the cemetery in Beeton.  I took pics of the graves if would like these.

Gravesave, how are you?

My grandmother was Mary Gladys Lilly of Beeton, Ontario, Canada and her father was William Lilly.  William Lilly of Beeton was married to Eleanor Beatty (I met her as a young girl at my grandmother's house).  I am going to Beeton later this month to look for the old farmhouse and visit a few gravesites.  If I can be of any help please message me.

Thanks,
Glenda

I would also be interested in a pic of Alexander's house in Toronto and his grave.

I also just discovered there is a Settler's Database compiled by the Simcoe Branch Library - if you search you will find Lilly's in Tecumseth http://www.simcoebogs.com/database/settlersdata_list.php

Good luck.

Gravesave, if you're still on the chat.....I received a book on Tecumseth County today which includes pictures and data on the Lilly family.  Please PM if interested and I will try to get copies for you.
