Jane Owens born around 1883 Larne, County Antrim

Does anyone have this lady in their tree? I came across her name in the 1901 census. She shows up as a niece of another Jane Owens, who by then was Jane Jenkins. I am trying to verify who the father of each Jane was. The location is Browndod, Kilwaughter, County Antrim.

Not seeing a birth record for the younger Jane Owens in Antrim

Hi,
   Rather strangely I can find the marriage of Jane Owens to William JENKIN in Larne 1st Presbyterian Church on 16 Jan 1863. Again the father was James Owens.

Sorry! My mistake, marriage was 1863, I had a 5 year filter on from 1860, forgot to narrow down to correct year

Niece Jane Owens is aged 18 but there's also a 14 year old nephew named Samuel Owens in the household.

PRONI has a Will Extract for a William Jenkins of Browndodd who might be the one from this census- "Probate of the Will of William Jenkins late of Browndodd Larne County Antrim Farmer who died 8 September 1913 granted at Belfast to Robert J. Jenkins Grocer and Robert Snoddy Farmer"

In 1911 census- Willam and Jane Jenkins still have Jane Owens in the household-

Thank you for all your replies. I started this thread off looking for more information on the younger Jane, but am also trying to find data on the older Jane, or rather her father James. I understood from my late aunt's notes that he was the son of Robert Owens, 1777-1860, but another tree has him as the son of John Owens, 1772-1857. This tree does have Jane 1843 as the daughter of James 1814-1896. Yet another tree has James as the son of Robert, but doesn't have Jane 1843. To complicate things further, James 1814-1896 in his will mentions only a son William and no other family apart from his wife.

I can see a Samuel Owens in the 1901 census entry, but he is listed as a servant rather than a nephew.

Very interested to see that you have connections with the Larne Owens family, also that you are in Cape Town. My family and I have had many happy holidays there as it was the place of my husband's birth and his younger brother lived there for several years
