Liverpool death record GORDON
« on: Tuesday 02 August 11 21:27 BST (UK) »
Eileen Gordon died in Liverpool in 1938 aged 23(older family members recall the event) but I cannot find her in death records. Her home address was Brewster Street Bootle, but not sure whether she died at home or in hospital.

Any ideas on how I can trace the death record and the burial place please?

Found her birth registration:
June qtr 1915
Liverpool district
Gordon, Eileen M    Mother's maiden name O'Keefe

Was Eileen known by her second name?

I found this death - the closest I could find:

June qtr 1939
Manchester district
Gordon, Martha E

I checked both Lancashire and Cheshire, 1938 and 1939
Garrad (Suffolk, Essex, Somerset), Crocker (Somerset), Vanstone (Devon, Jersey), Sims (Wiltshire), Bridger (Kent)

There is a death of an Eileen M Goudon aged 24  in Liverpool North in September Qtr 1939 Volume 8b page 410.

It could be a mistranscription.

Regards,
Mo

Thank you KGarrard. Yes that's her birth record but she was Eileen Mary and definitely died in Liverpool.

Thank you Mosiefish. That's more than likely the right one. I'll check it out.
