kiwibob, i just thought i would offer myservices if your require any help, i.e. going to a church etc etc or even if you have the address i can go and take a picture for you, i live in yarm! eaglescliffe is walking distance for me.

Thanks very much Dawnkaren for the offer and might take it up as I also had relatives from Eaglescliffe on my fathers side as well so have a few family roots in that area. I knew their address and was able to have a look thanks to google maps "street view" and  I also had a bit of a virtual tour around Upsall where my great grandmother lived in the late 1800s on 5 acres by herself farming, but don't really know the exact location, but at least I have a bit of an idea as to where she lived.I believe they all could be buried in one of the local cemeteries in Eaglescliffe but not sure which cemetery,I know they were church going people not that that means they are buried in a church cemetery, but I would love a photo of a head stone if one exists.

the only church that would have served eaglescliffe at that time was on butts lane eGGlescliffe, however they could have attended yarm parish church which also has a grave yard, their is one last possible place tho and that would be the cemetary on worsall road yarm.
