I see that this is an old topic but I am just new to this website.
I have a family tree which includes Charles Hadley Frank Kent, Cyril Kent and so on.  Charles Kent - father of Charles Hadley was my children's great-great grandfather.
If you still want information, I may be able to help.

Hi!

I haven't been on here for quite some time, but saw that you had been kind enough to reply and therefore wanted to get back to you.

Charles Kent, the father of Charles Frank Hadley Kent was my great-grandfather (My grandad was Reginald Hugh Kent).

I do have quite a lot of info on the family, thanks to people on here (if you do a search on my user name you will see replies finding the family on census returns and ships passenger lists) and also thanks to the work of Ron Kent, who did a lot of research long before the internet & computers were around to help!

Saying that, I would never turn down the opportunity to learn more and also to return the favour if possible (although to say my notes are somewhat unorganised would be a bit of an understatement!). The Kent family hails from Berkshire and we've got them going back into the 18th century.

Thanks again for getting in touch!

Hello and thank you for getting back to me.  Most of my research is also from Ron.

I was married to Gregory Frank Kent (Greg) and we have two children.  His father was William Frank Kent (Frank) who died a few years ago (mother Rona Pauline Green). Reginald was Frank's Uncle and his father was Harold Frederick (Reginald's brother of course).

I have a few photos which include Charles Kent, Ida, Charles Hadley Frank Kent, Reginald - was he called "Bob"? - Agnes Long and others if you are interested.  You may have some yourself.  I will attach one of Reginald (Bob), Neville and Harold Kent.t

Anyway, I probably can't add much to what you know except for present day family of William Frank Kent.  Let me know if there is any information or photos I can pass on.

Are you in the UK or in Australia?  I am in WA.

Regards

Lynn

Hi
Have only recently found this web page.  My great grandfather was Charles Kent and my grandfather was George Forbes Neville who appears on the lovely photo of the 3 brothers.  I know very little about the brothers, how many of them or even their names so any further information would be greatly appreciated.  Neville was my mother's father but my mum really didn't talk much about her family so took any information to her grave a few years ago.  Any other photos would be lovely.  My sister and I are going to Sri Lanka on holiday next month so the family will be in our thoughts.  I have also been to Thiepval Northern France where Charles Frank Hadley is commerated.

I did write some information on a blog which you could check out - lynnie57.wordpress.com.

Let me know how you get on. Good luck.

Thanks for that Lynne but as you will see the email address for Janis has been removed before I could respond, grr.  In an earlier posting you said you have photos that feature Charles, Ida and Charles Frank Hadley.  I would be so grateful to see a picture of them.  As for getting in touch with Janis I don't know where we can go from here, so frustrating but thanks for trying.  Is Janis a descendant of one of the brothers who emigrated to Australia, my mother did say that she thought Ted?? had gone to NZ or Oz.  Maybe Janis would like to join Rootschat?

Hello, I’ve been digging into my family history a bit and stumbled upon this chat. I’m a descendant of Charles Kent and Charlotta Ida De Vos. They were my paternal great grandparents. My grandfather was Cyril ‘Jack’ Kent, their youngest child, I believe. I would be grateful for any photos or further information. I’m in Australia. Thanks!  :)
