Worthington in 1851 and 61
« on: Monday 02 May 05 05:47 BST (UK) »
I am looking for a few WORTHINGTONs in Willenhall in 1851/61. Can anyone find any of the folowing for me please?

1. Joseph WORTHINGTON, b. abt 1839? In 1881 he was recorded as coming from London Little Willenhall, London, Middlesex, but I think there may be a mix up there - his children were born in Willenhall, Staffs, (1866-80).

2. John WORTHINGTON snr (b. abt. 1835, Willenhall) who was married to Mary Ann, and  John WORTHINGTON jnr (b. abt. 1859, Willenhall).

I am hoping there may be a connection betwwen the two and that I might find some clue to link them in to the rest of my WORTHINGTONs in Willenhall.

Thanks,
Julie

I've found a John Worthington in 1851 living on Mill Street in Willenhall.

HO107/2020 page 209

He is living with another family called Dirks? (cant read it properly) Head's accupation is Key Smith??

John Worthington, aged 16, unmarried, occupation seems to read App (apprentice?), born in Willenhall.

TF ;)

ps, sorry couldn't find Joseph.

Thanks so much for your help. This has confirmed that at least Joseph was related to my family - having found his brother Reuben (my gg grandfather) in 1861.

Thanks again,
Julie
