Job HUDSON
« on: Friday 22 July 11 00:47 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have any information about Job Hudson, married Clara Jones in 1838 in NSW.  Job was lost at sea, jumped/fell form Ship Subruon in 1848.  I can not find a record of his death or any other details.

Hi Leonne,

There is the newspaper article about his death in the SMH August 28th 1848 on page 3.

http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/28648431?searchTerm=

also

The NSW Government Gazette has a notice dated 19th September 1848 where Mary Anne Hudson of Newcastle applied to the Supreme Court of NSW for all his possessions etc being the widow of the deceased Job Hudson.

The New South Wales Gazette 6th August 1839 under TITLE DEEDS has a Job Hudson purchasing lot 46, 2 Roods at Raymond Terrace with the deeds dated 5th April 1839.

Gerry

The SMH 2nd September 1841 page 3.

A caution notice to the public from Job Huson about giving trust or credit to Mary Anne Hudson (formerly Hewson) whom abandoned the home on 25th August 1841.

Job B Hudson married Clara Jones in Newcastle in 1858, not 1848.  I was wondering how a 9 year old was married!!

A Job Hudson arrived at Port Jackson on October 21st 1833 on board the "Mary Catherine" from Liverpool via Hobart.

Job Hudson was 26 and a cabinet maker.

Also on the manifest was an Ann Hudson 22 ( maybe a sister!).
