Threlkeld in Hilton
« on: Thursday 21 July 11 14:17 BST (UK) »
I have information that a George Threlkeld was born in Hilton, North Yorks on 16 dec. 1666 but cannot trace any record of a church there to confirm date of baptism. Also that he married Elizabeth Littlefair there in 1686.

Does anyone know what is the chruch covering this locality and can make a lookup to check the details shown above.

Regards

Robert

This link may help to start

it tells you what the church is called and where the records are
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.
