hello, i am searching for information on a john wilson who married and agnes blair in sterling in 1857. thier children born in sterling were, isabella 1859, mary 1861 and agnes 1863 the rest of the children james 1865, john 1866, another james 1870 and william 1873 were born in monkland......so im thinking from 1857 to 1863 they were in sterling, then from 1865 to 1873 they were in monkland. if any one can help in locating this family in any census, that would be great........kind reguards from heather.......ps,  have i posted this on the right board or should i have posted this on the lanarkshire board ????

It's likely that the first James died sometime between 1865 and 1870 hence why there's a second James.

From LDS I reckon this might be John Wilson's birth

birth 8 Dec 1823
christened 21 Mar 1824  Old Monkland, Lanarkshire, Scotland
father George Wilson
mother Mary More
Marks (cornwall, devon), Pennie (stirlingshire),

Hi Heather,
I'm Ray. I've just started my genealogy and I believe we may have the same relatives. I have a marriage cert for John Wilson and Agnes Blair married 11 Dec 1857. They had a Son James Wilson who is my great, great grandfather. Making John Wilson my GGG GF. His parents were James Wilson and Mary Montgomery.

I'd be keen to know if we have the same relatives?
