1860 Marriage cert deciphering please
« on: Thursday 21 July 11 02:42 BST (UK) »
Have stumbled before & requested help when i needed clarity or confirmation but this latest one baffles me because the ink is not the clearest. I can make out the following;

Thomas Corson age 19 [sec 5 profession?] father James corson ___?___(fathers profession ). Janet Corson maiden name _?_ deceased

Jane McMurray age 18, _?_ servant, father _?_ McMurray, land stewart(??) deceased. _?_ McMurray, mn _?_

any help filling in the blanks would be sOo obliged.

Thanks in advance for any help/ :)

Here's my input on all but Janet Corson's maiden name:

Thomas Corson- Farm Servant
James Corson- Dairy Man
Jane McMurray- Farm Servant
Thomas McMurray- Land Steward
Agnes McMurray- Maiden Name Maxwell

Edit: Janet Corson's maiden name could be Shawe.  There's a distracting left parenthesis mark before the "D" in "Deceased".

If it's from Scotlands People,you can ask them for a better copy,I've often heard of people doing that.
