Honor Oak Cemetery London area

I have posted on here about Grove Park Cemetery and would also like some information about Honor Oak Cemetery.

Having tried to find out about my husband's family for a few years, I am still no further on than his grandfather.
A relative has given me a few items and amongst them was a funeral card for a Henry Loveridge, this could be my husbands great uncle.
He died 28 January 1948 aged 57 years and was interred at Honor Oak Cemetery, the card doesnt give the grave number of plot.

Does anyone visit this cemetery that could possibly have a look for the grave or has seen the grave?

I would be especially interested to see if there is anyone else in the plot or the inscription on the headstone.

I know Honor Oak Cemetery and the Crematorium next to it, they are or were well kept so hopefully the task will be that much easier if still the same as remembered, unfortunately I don't live near but the best of luck with your research.

The cemetery must be known as Camberwell New Cemetery...give them a ring...tel no on website below

My grandparents and great grandparents are buried in Camberwell New Cemetery, my grandfather died in 1944 and is buried in one of the first rows by the main entrance so there is a good chance that the grave you are looking for is in that vicinity.  My father grew up in Honor Oak Park so I would imagine it is Camberwell New that you are looking for.  Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near and it's some years since we last visited but as Bryant says, it's very well kept.

Honor Oak Crematorium is situated in Camberwell New Cemetery. Burials would be in Camberwell New Cemetery, cremations at the crematorium which has a Garden of Remembrance. Cremation registers are kept separate from burial registers so if you are requesting further information from Southwark's Bereavement Service office you have to tell them you want a search in both if you are not sure whether it was burial or a cremation.
There is a guide on the London and Middlesex board which lists all the London civic cemeteries and crematoriums, their dates of opening and the links to where the records are kept.

Just to let you know, unless you can visit in person and look through the records for the plot numbers  yourself, the cemeteries department at Camberwell New charge for look-ups even if you can provide them with all the information.
