The bodice with these large epaulettes was late 1890's style.
Edward Leyland was at this address under this name in 1898/99,it became Edwin Leyland in 1900.
So 1898-1900.
The girl is single & around 16/17 I would suggest.

Thank you everyone for your comments and help. I really love this photo too I think it'svery beautiful I just wish I knew which family member of mine she is. I was left a box of photos by my father when he died, which he had been left by his mother and never really gone through. I haven't found her in any other photos, yet so narrowing it down to who she might be was a little difficult. The date may help though. As to the restoration I hadn't really thought about it before, but if someone wants to try it would be greatly appreciated.
