Haywood (Steadman) (Dunning)
« on: Sunday 17 July 11 17:09 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for Jane Steadman b 1865 in Acaster Malbis.  She married Samuel Haywood in 1888 and in 1891 they are living in Upper Poppleton where he is a Police Constable.  With them is their neice Lilian Redman.

In 1901 Jane is with her father Thomas Steadman aged 72 in Loscoe, Pontefract and with them is Edward Dunmire (I believe it should be Dunning) who is a nephew to Jane.

I can't seem to track Jane, Samuel or Edward after this date so would be grateful for any help.
Thanks
Sue Garside

FreeBMD has the death of a Jane Haywood in the Ponefract Reg. District (vol 9c page 136) in June 1936 aged 71. That would make her born in 1865 and ties in with the Pontefract connection.

There is also the death of a Samuel Haywood again in the Pontefract Reg. District (vol 9c page 179) in June 1929 aged 71. That would make him born in 1850, 38 years before he married her.

Hi,

Sorry but I'm not sure that these are the right deaths. There is another Jane HAYWOOD b.1863/1864 living in the Pontefract district in 1901 and 1911 married to Henry. Also in 1891 Samuel is b.1863 so the Samuel b.1850 would be too old, there is a Samuel HAYWOOD b.1848 Shropshire a widower in Pontefract in 1911.

Regards,
Daisy
