From what I remember Lostock Road is in the Davyhulme, Urmston part of Trafford - the road goes under the M60 and stops at the roundabout just before Trafford General Hospital where the cinema was/is.
The only church I know (there are others) in Stretford is St. Matthews - that has a graveyard and it's next to the Arndale Centre.

There's a graveyard at St Michael Flixton - it's about 2 miles from Lostock Rd
Meehan - Sligo and Manchester
Currell - Princes Risborough and Manchester
Gee - Congleton, Salford and Manchester
Withers - Hornby, Manchester and Salford
Dodd - Congleton, Salford and Manchester

I checked the Manchester burial records and he isn't in the Local Authority Cemeteries. I think St Matthews, Stretford has a graveyard and St Clements. Urmston. Manchester Archives have burial records for those churches so I'll try there. Not sure if any other Stretford/Urmston churches have graveyards. Thanks for your help.

I am new to the forum and have an interest in Lostock as my family farmed there for many years.  I looked up William Hollins on the Lancs Parish Register Barton upon Irwell and he is buried at St Catherines Barton upon Irwell.  The church has long gone but the graveyard is still there but very neglected.

The burial for William can be seen online at.

http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/Search/indexp.html

it's a free to view site and you will perhaps find more members of your family on there.
