Do you happen to know the death record for James Hillis; father of Alexander Hillis?   He was probably born around 1840.

This is likely to be the death of your GGGrandfather James Hillis in 1909 at 74 Skipton Street.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1909/05473/4532040.pdf
Informant is his son, Alex Hillis living at 18 Hornby Street.

Is there any research you might need done in the U.S.?

Thank you for your kind offer, but i have only a few ancestors who immigrated to the USA and have found them all and many of their descendants.

Let me finish by giving you some more data on your Belfast ancestors. I have the following:

The marriage of John Beattie & Jane Vincent in 1864.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1864/11615/8275906.pdf
His father is James Beattie, a labourer. Her father is McCaller? Vincent, a weaver.

Mary Jane Beattie born 1869     MMN Vincent      #21

The death of Alexander Hillis in 1921.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1921/05086/4396007.pdf
The informant was his widow, Jane.

Alexander & Annie Hillis/Maria Beattie – Grave in Dundonald cemetery

Continuing the amazing work done by KIltglassan on the Beattie side.  I went to the beginning of irish records for the name, some of you may know it all and more but just in case something is new for you

There have been Beattie/Beatty/Beaty/Betty/Bettye in Ireland a long time.  In the north of Ireland records exist with how the name spelling was recorded,  the earliest sources I found are in http://www.billmacafee.com/
eg 1630 Muster rolls for estates in Co Londonderry
Beattie Beattie William  Clothworkers (Sir Robert McClelland) Coleraine
eg 1630 Muster Rolls for the Baronies of Cary, Dunluce and Toome
Beattie Beatty John Mr Adare's British Tenants on his Native Lands Toome
eg 1699 Hearth Money Rolls
Beattie   Betty   John   Antrim Upper     Donegore   Ballynoe
Beattie   Betty   Tho   Glenarm UpperLarne   Larne Town
Beattie   Beaty   James   Toome Lower     Kirkinriola   Ballymena Estate
Beattie   Beaty   Robt   Toome Lower  Kirkinriola   Ballymena Estate
Beattie   Beaty   Tho   Toome Lower     Kirkinriola   Ballymena Estate
Beattie   Betty   John   Toome Lower     Kirkinriola   Ballymena Town
in 1740  Protestants in Co Antrim
Beattie   Bettye   Joh   Cary   Billy
Beattie   Beatty   John   Toome   Ahoghill
Beattie   Beatty   John   Toome   Ahoghill
Beattie   Beatty   James   Toome   Kirkinriola

Beattie   Beatty   John   Toome   Kirkinriola
Beattie   Beatty   John   Toome   Kirkinriola
Beattie   Beatty   Margt   Toome   Kirkinriola
Beattie   Beatty   Patk   Toome   Kirkinriola
Beattie   Beatty   Wid   Toome   Kirkinriola
Beattie   Beatty   Willm   Toome   Kirkinriola
in 1740 Protestants in Co Derry
Beattie   Beaty   William   Keenaght   Dungiven   Lackagh [Laccah]
Beattie   Beatty   Ralph   Loughinsholin   Lissan   Not specified
Beattie   Beaty   John   Loughinsholin   Maghera   Not specified
Beattie   Beatty   Edw   Loughinsholin   Magherafelt   Not specified

theres many more sources eg
1819 Belfast street directory https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/1819_Alphanames.htm
Beaty, Robert, joiner, 12 Hudson's Entry
Beaty, Thomas, 58 Hercules Street
Beaty, James, John Street
Beaty, Edward, machine maker, 4 Union Street
and many more directories at www.lennonwylie.co.uk and at PRONI

google search for references led me to a review of a books
Rawson, Geoffrey "Earl Beatty, Admiral of the Fleet" by Geoffrey Rawson Jarrolds
which has ‘ the origin of the family name. It has been traced to "Betagh" (biadhtach) Beatagh, Beatty, the original meaning being a "public victualler." The family is said to be of Danish descent, but in the early Anglo-Irish records the Christian names are Norman. They were seated in Moynalty[Co Meath] from an early period, and branches of the family appear to have settled in Mayo, Galway and Clare.  Lord Beatty's branch of the family has been prominent in Wexford for many years... In the Enniscorthy district,...”
and later I found amazon selling a version Earl Beatty: Admiral of the Fleet: Viscount Borodale and Baron Beatty of the North Sea and of Brooksby Hardcover – 1 Jan. 1930
by Geoffrey Rawson (Author) from £5 upwards   256 pages Hardcover

other sources suggest Scotland eg the Oxford Name Companion  gives 1. Scots&NIrish..2. Irish. Anglised form of the Gael occupational term  biadhtach a hospitalier

Public Record Office for Northern Ireland
PRONI Reference :   D1148/1PRONI Belfast has many items eg
Genealogical notes inc. page giving dates ...

etc

I am sure the National archives and National library Dublin, Ancestry , Wikitree etc, DNA and other past studies may tell you more.  I am stopping now and wish you well in your quests
