A little bit cheeky ( Genes Reunited members pls)
« on: Sunday 17 July 11 00:36 BST (UK) »
Hi Everyone,
This is probable a long shot & a little bit cheeky, but I'm doing family tree for friend, name Cochrane. Found a Sophia Cochrane maiden name Lister born abt 1791 Scotland. Looked on Genes Reunited (used to be member when doing my own tree) & found 1 match. Tree owner Carol Anne Cameron. Hoping she may use this site or someone who has access to site would contact her for me. (cheeky).
Would love to give my friend contact with a common ancestor. She has Sophia Lister 1790 Scotland.

All the best

Hey Washy, I'm sure someone will be willing to contact the tree owner for you.

Can I just offer a suggestion if I'm not being too cheeky myself?  ;)

If you change the subject of this thread to mention the words Genes Reunited,  ('Genes Reunited lookup' or similar) - that should atrract the attention of any Genes Reunited members a bit more than your current subject heading, and you should find one who is willing to help.

Just a suggestion ...  ;)

Hi Thanks for that, didn't really know where to post, or with what heading, will modify.

Thanks

You should get enough takers on the Scotland board, but the Common Room might have been better (as it's not really specific to Scotland). They always say, if in doubt post in the common room.  ;)

Would you like me to ask a mederator to move this for you? (I'm not sure if you are allowed to 'report' your own posts to a moderator.  ;)
