Typing in message box

Help please.

After typing a dozen or so lines the message jumps and the line I'm working on disappears below the field of vision, have to repeatedly preview to check the content, probably not major in the scheme of things, but it is annoying and I find it breaks my train of thought.

I find the best option is to type up a word document and then after editing, spell check etc copy paste it into the message box

thats just working to the symptoms - fix it by clicking on the 'compatibility view' icon next to the address bar in your IE8 or earlier browser.
