« on: Tuesday 12 July 11 20:58 BST (UK) »

im looking for information on my illusive great grandma elizabeth jackson nee cockburn who was probably married in halifax, west yorkshire via registrar around 1897 i have them on the 1901 census living together in halifax with a shared surname Jackson and a son of 4 year old who was called Robert

Im trying to track her mother and father who were probably from Scotland but thats all i know of them.

she also had a sister called marther who was 18 in the 1901 files if that helps

thanks guys

You can use the reference to order a marriage certificate from the GRO. That will give you the exact date of the marriage, the fathers and their occupations. Also the names of the witnesses, which may be relatives.
