Hello Aghadowney,
Thanks for the reply to my post. I have been gathering information on John Moody and his family for a while, but had only just picked up on the postings about Matthew and Mary. I have now obtained the marriage certificate for Robert John Moody which states that he is the son of MATTHEW MOODY and MARY ARCHIBALD. He was a bachelor aged 32 when he married Isabella Fenton, spinster, aged 19. The marriage was by licence and was on the 7th of August 1863 at Christ Church, Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. While the church is 'Church of England', Robert and Isabella give their own denomination as Presbyterian. Robert gives his occupation as Miner, and his place of residence as 'Carngham'. His birthplace is hard to read, but looks like 'Cullencarney', Coleraine, County Derry. His father's occupation is 'Farmer'. Isabella Fenton's birthplace is Glasgow, Scotland.
I see that Robert John Moody is named in his father's Will, as is Thomas James Moody and Joseph Archibald Moody. I see that Matthew Moody of Cullyvenny died 20th November 1860 aged 65 years.
