Minnie we know is a family name and is maybe in use in your family to date.
My last post I think had a mistake in it so I edited it until my Dad gets a chance to go back over it with me again.
It was to do with Malcolm's daughters one of which married Johnny McCartney.   Just in case someone should decide to correct me again there was a Malcolm sen and jnr.  I'll try and remember when he's sitting beside me again.

Hi

Doubt if it's of much help but in my own line :-

Thomas Bankhead (born Ahoghill 1852) married Sarah McMaster on 21/10/1878 in 2nd Presbyterian Church, Kirkinriola. The 1901 census finds them in Ballymontenagh

Regards

Matt

Dont really know if it is of interest to Kathy but something may be of interest as I dont know if you are local or not.
Various records use the parish of Ahoghill for area's that are clearly outside of Ahoghill.  Killyless being but one. Your Ballymontenagh is certainly Ahoghill but I noticed in some other posts of your posts Lisrodden and Aughnacleagh which are next door to Portglenone.  These are I think in Lisnagarron which is another misleading name.
Also townland names are widely used in the current road name system but can be removed from the actual townland locations.
Maybe you are aware of the various name v location thing but if not it may keep you from being led up the garden path.
