Middlesex Militia in Liverpool

Hi,
I have a record for a marriage at St. Nicholas Liverpool in 1781 it states that the groom was serving in the Middlesex Militia. The couple remain in Liverpool and have 5 children - I'm trying to find out where the groom (Thomas Parker) would have come from. Would there have been a Middlesex regiment in Liverpool
or can anyone of you knowledgeable people out there point me in the right direction!
Thanks,
Karen

There was at least one company of Middlesex Militia in Lancashire at that time. Their baggage transport bills are held at Lancashire RO - see

(do Control+F and search for Middlesex Militia)
Lancashire-OPC has baptisms in 1782 at Our Lady and St Nicholas in Liverpool of :
- a child of Nathaniel Radford " a Private in the Westminster battalion of Middlesex Militia"
-a child of Philip Conway, " a Private in the Westminster Batallion of Middlesex Militia"
-2 children of Willoughby Chapman "Private in the Westminster Battalion of Middlesex Militia"
-a child of John Heslea " Private in the Westminster Battalion of Middlesex Militia "
and several others

Thank you
Do you know if there are any militia lists available - I'm trying to find out where Thomas originated from (now assuming that it will be Middlesex as he was in the Middlesex Militia, but you know what they say about the word assume!!)

Have you seen the baptism of Elizabeth at St Nicholas in 1795 "Daughter of Thomas Parker & Lydia (formerly Roberts),
his 2nd Wife
" ?

Yes! - Lydia is from Liverpool, but Thomas is a little more elusive!
Thanks for your help, I shall keep sleuthing!
