I think your right about contacting inverclyde burials dept
as you have an exact date for Julia they should be able to tell you
where she was buried and who else was buried in the same grave
I will keep my eyes opened for any John's I will let you know if I find any

Thanks for your help Elaine
I am assuming he stayed in the area but I guess he could have been anywhere at the time of his death. I will contact IDC burial grounds on Monday and see if it turns up any further information.

Called Inverclyde and now know that Bridget was buried in Port Glasgow and also in the lair is a John who died in 1920. The lady was not able to give me an age for this John and I am still not able to find a death cert on Scotland's people - the only one that comes up for 1920 is for Paisley and it's not the right details on the cert.
*confused* lol

The informat on the cert was John McGarrigle (son) with a Paisley address and for the mother supposedly a year later it was also John McGarrigle (son).

The hand writing does not look the same on them.

Went to the cemetery but as expected there was nothing to see - not even sure I found the right plot as there was very few stones to get my bearings from.

I have managed to get more information from the lady at the cemetery and now know that John McGarrigle was buried there on 10th June 1920 he was age 53 so I am sure this is the correct person. Unfortunatly I am still unable to find a death cert even with this information.

When I entered the info on my tree details for a death of John McGarrigle who died in 1920 in  Essex, England came up as a hint  not sure if it's connected or not.
