Am working on the Jordan family history for a good friend's 60th birthday.
Had one false start where she thought her family had Irish connections but she was 2 generations out.
Now have Thomas JORDAN born about 1831 in Ireland. He married Mary ?? who was born about 1834 in Ireland. By 1861 they were living in Bolton, England. So any information about births of Thomas and Mary in Ireland and their marriage would be great.
Also, is there any way to find when they moved to England.

Since Thomas's birth is well before the start of full civil registration in Ireland (1864) so you would need to check for parish records to find details for him and his family. To start this you first need to know the family religion and where they lived at the time, i.e. which parish, so you can check what records (if any) are available.
