William Blackstone born 1773

Hi   I have been looking for the birth place of William Blackstone born 1773, some think he was born in the West Country, I can only trace him to Eltham and Bexley, Kent
He was married to Elizabeth.   Really need some help with this.

Where have you looked so far, and what reasons do people have for thinking he came from the West country?

Background for others who may help;
1841 Census, Eltham, Kent, we have William and Elizabeth age 65.
Both not born in Kent
HO107/482/8/Eltham

1851 Census he is down as Wm age 28. Actual image is;
Wm Blaxton, 78, Father, Alms People?, born N.K, West of ????
HO107/1606/465/16
So born c 1773

I think it says N. K. West of England.

I think it says NK [= not known] West of England.  Which isn't much help, but better than nothing.

Looks like West of England to me,    I was hoping it would not be that as it covers so many counties,  but wont give up I have been trying to solve this for over a year.
Any more help would be greatly appreciated.
